Community Guidelines

Last updated: July 3, 2026

Social by Faith exists for one reason: to bring people of every religion, spirituality, and background together for honest conversation. We don't ask who's right — we ask, how did you get here?

These guidelines exist to keep this a space where that kind of dialogue is possible: open, respectful, and safe for everyone. By using Social by Faith, you agree to follow them. They apply to everything you post and every way you interact with others here.

The spirit of this place

Faith is deeply personal. People arrive at their beliefs through their families, their cultures, their experiences, and their own searching. That means the person you're talking to has a whole story behind what they believe — just like you do.

So the heart of Social by Faith is simple: lead with curiosity, not judgment. Listen more than you argue. Treat every person's story as worth understanding — even when you see the world completely differently. Faith is not universal. But compassion is.

Our core rules

1. Be respectful

Treat everyone with dignity. Hateful speech, slurs, harassment, bullying, or personal attacks — whether aimed at someone's faith, race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, nationality, or anything else about who they are — are never allowed. You can disagree with an idea without attacking a person.

2. Share your faith, don't push it

You are always welcome to share your beliefs, your traditions, and your story — that's what this community is for. But do not pressure, shame, or repeatedly push others to convert or abandon their beliefs. There's a difference between "here's what my faith means to me" and "you need to believe what I believe." The first builds understanding. The second breaks the trust this space depends on.

3. Keep it honest and genuine

Don't impersonate other people or organizations, spread deliberate misinformation, or use the community mainly to advertise, sell, or spam. Come here to connect, not to market.

4. Keep it safe

No threats or incitement of violence. No sexually explicit content or nudity. No content that promotes self-harm, illegal activity, or the exploitation of anyone — and absolutely nothing that endangers or sexualizes minors. This is a community meant for people to feel safe in.

5. Respect privacy

Don't share other people's private information — addresses, phone numbers, or anything else — without their clear permission. And be thoughtful about what you share about yourself. Only post what you're comfortable making visible to the community.

6. Protect the young

Social by Faith is for people 13 and older. Keep interactions with younger members appropriate and safe, and never use the community to groom, isolate, or harm anyone.

How we keep the community safe

Guidelines only work if they're upheld. Here's how we protect this space together:

We aim to be fair, and to remember that people make mistakes and can learn. But keeping everyone safe always comes first.

A note on disagreement

Disagreement is welcome here — it's part of the point. People of different faiths will see things differently, and that's exactly the kind of conversation we want. The line isn't whether you disagree; it's how you disagree. Do it with respect, with genuine curiosity, and with the assumption that the person on the other side is worth understanding.

Changes to these guidelines

As our community grows, we may update these guidelines. When we make significant changes, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and may note it in the app. Continuing to use Social by Faith means you accept the current guidelines.
